Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Brookline is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Brookline follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

PLANTREE has become such a little place of healing for me. There’s something so calming about being surrounded by all the green and I always leave feeling lighter and happier They have the cutest plant accessories and pots that perfectly match each plant, which makes everything feel extra special and gift-ready. Their plants truly make the best gifts, and this has become my go-to shop whenever I’m looking for something thoughtful. What I really appreciate is how beginner-friendly they make everything. There’s a simple guide that shows where to place each plant based on how much sunlight it needs, which makes it easy for anyone to keep the plants alive and thriving.
